Konjam Koffee Konjam Kaadhal is a sweet and breezy romantic film in Tamil, slated for release in July, 2012.The film is directed by Venky who has also done the tale and screenplay. That is Venky’s debut feature film backed by his rich and valuable experience gleaned from 30 years in media, as an adfilm and documentary film maker and in television as Head of Vijay TV. Venky, who has profound respect for the Tamil Cinema tradition says that this movie has the tale component of Bhimsingh , characterization of Balachander and the narrative form of Maniratnam. He also says that there's a fascinating and heartwarming twist within the story which has not been attempted before.Konjam Koffee Konjam Kaadhal takes pride in introducing 23 new faces to the Tamil screen, including the lead pair and in addition a couple of technicians. The male lead is played by Hriday who had a lucky begin to his career when he debuted as a kid artiste in veteran director Mani Ratnam’s “Bombay” where he with his twin brother played the sons of Arvind Swamy and Manisha Koirala. The feminine lead is Aditi Chengappa, an actor and model from Delhi. The opposite introductions play various supporting roles within the film.This is a debut movie for the music director Phani Kalyan besides. Kalyan has scored absolutely scintillating music, experimenting with various genres with great elan and competence. He has created 3 main songs, one title song, an English song and a remix song. Venky claims that the song will also be considered a tribute MJ, who was captivated with changing the sector and healing the pain of the people.

The lyrics was penned by veteran poet Arivumathi, Palani Bharathi and Chitraa Venkey who also debuts as a lyric writer and dialogue writer on this film.Venky says that the film according to the concepts of destiny, fate and time and their importance within the lives of individuals. Einstein’s notion of the way everything in life is predetermined adds a fascinating element to the story.The best a part of the film are the cameo appearances of thespians Nasser and Revathy. Venky says that they have got been cast in roles they have got not played hitherto and it's they who lead to a twist within the story.Ashokk, a captivating young hero in Tamil films, has also made a unique appearance on this film.Konjam Koffee Konjam Kaadhal comes wrapped like a chocolate, with a sweet story, lovely performances, beautiful music and a heart warming message that may be subtle and never blatant. Shaam has done a rare thing that's even dangerous to his health, but only for the sake of his passion towards good Cinema.

This dedicated young actor has spent greater than a dozen sleepless days. This was resulted for a large swell below his eyes and made his face an absolutely different one. He made most of these efforts for the betterment of his forthcoming movie titled ’6.

Directed by VZ Durai, 6 is a special movie during which Shaam appears in 6 get ups and shot in 6 different cities.

To make his getup perfect, Shaam reduced his weight from 89 kgs to 72 kgs and grew long hair and beard for this movie. When the director told that he need something different to make his role unforgettable, the actor decided to move sleepless to bring bulging effect in his eyes.

One day Shaam told his decision however the director was afraid. Because if something gone wrong, the actor would be the victim for this. But Shaam took it as a challenge and spent 12 days without sleep and correct food.

After satisfied his look, Shaam called the director for shooting. When Shaam arrived the sets, all of the unit including director Durai have shocked or even not able to believe the look.

Immediately the director shot the specified scenes and requested the actor to move for complete rest to come back his usual look. “By god’s grace, I got my original look with in a week,” says the actor.

Shaam said further, “Our great legends Rajini sir and Kamal sir are always my inspiration for taking any more or less risks for the betterment of the nature. I USED TO BE shocked when saw Rajini sir’s risky efforts for Robot character in Enthiran. Kamal sir surprised me in films like Dasavatharam. For 6, I just following the footsteps of Rajini and Kamal sincerely. Because that is crucial film in my career. I never used makeup kits for this movie.”

The long wait is over now…The movie ‘3’ starring Dhanush and Shruti Haasan by Aishwarya Dhanush have released today. Ram (Dhanush) and Janani(Shruti Haasan) are introduced as a teenagers studying 12 standard. Ram falls in love with Janani  and the romance between them is interesting. First half the movie is pleasant and the affection scenes between them are realistic. Sure everyone will remember their school days.

The second half the movie takes their life in to second stage where Ram tied the knot to Janani. There comes a stunning twist within the movie when Ram is affected by Bipolar Disorder, a psychological disease. What happens of their life forms the climax? Dhanush as usual has given his best performance. His acting is awesome. This National Award winner is proving time and again in his movies. At the other side Shruti Hassan has equally given good performance. Aishwarya Dhanush ‘s way of direction is sweet. Coming to songs, already the ‘Kolaveri Di’ song was one of the crucial biggest ever chartbusters. The background music is just superb, heart touching and the credit goes to the young and energetic music director Anirudh. Other actors like Prabhu, Bhanu Priya, Siva Karthikeyan have done justice to their roles. Basically the movie ‘3’ is a superb effort from the director Aishwarya. Hats off to all of the crew of ‘3’. Worth watching!!!

Australian company Rising Sun Pictures (RSP) who mesmerized us within the Harry Potter series are in command of the VFX. Srinivas M Mohan is the VFX supervisor & there are lot of alternative hollywood technicians from various studios also are fascinated with the making of this film.

Under A.R.Rehman’s baton, written by Kapilan, a song was recorded recently which was sung by Vijay Prakash.

For the primary time the dialogue twins Shuba are writing dialogues for a Shankar film.

This film will go at the floor from July 15th 2012 in Chennai.

Veterans K Balachandar – KS Sethu Madhavan launch Aaroganam Movie Audio

Veteran film maker K Balachandar says that the arena is now praising Tamil cinema for its quality making and content.

Launched the audio of multidimensional ace actress Laksmi Ramakrishnan’s debut movie Aaroganam at Prasad Labs the thespian wished all the team for creating a sensible, shot and crisp feature film.

Remembering the times of his classic Agni Sakshi, the veteran told, “Lakshmi’s Aaroganam remembering my Agni Sakshi days. There are few resemblances between Agni Sakshi and Aaroganam. But I made that movie even without the information of medical terms and the mental sickness of my protagonist. Now Lakshmi made it clear and offers perfect treatment to that character and its problems..”

Speaking concerning the budget of the movie, KB says, “When I USED TO BE heard concerning the budget of Aaroganam, it was somewhat surprise to me. Because, nowadays a small budget film takes few crores. But this film ate few lakhs only. Making this sort of good movie in a shoe string budget is truly inspired me and in reality now I’m thinking to make this sort of film kind of within the budget..”

Mentioning the highs of present Tamil cinema, KB proud at the worldwide recognition, reception and commercial success. He also wished Lakshmi Ramakrishnan to make 100 movies in future!

K S Sethumathavan

The one who drew attention of the visitors within the event was K S Sethumadhavan, another legend the entire way from Kerala. He praised Lakshmi so much for the graceful making of Aaroganam.

Mysskin

Director Mysskin, remembered his association with Lakshmi Ramakrishnan in Yudham Sei and appreciated the eagerness of Lakshmi that even extend to tonsure her head for a personality. “Actually I NEED to the touch her feet for her dedication and fervour towards cinema!”, Says Mysskin.

Earlier, the Audio CD was launched by K Balachander and K S Sethumadhavan and received by Directors Vasanth and Eeram Arivazhagan.

Directors Vasanth, Pandiraj, Eeram Arivazhagan, Producer T Shiva, actors Thalaivasal Vijay, Vadivukkarasi, ARS, Kumari Sachu, play back singer Chinmayi, heroine of Aaroganam Viji and others graced the occasion and shared the dais.

Anoop, the producer of the movie, Co producer Ramakrishnan, Presenter J Sathish Kumar (who bought the rights of the movie) hosted the development perfectly.

Vijay TV’s Prestigious 6th Annual Vijay Awards Chennai most Extravagant Award Ceremony

The much awaited Vijay TV’s 6th Annual Vijay Awards was held much bigger and bolder this year to boot. Pack up Vijay Awards powered by Bingo was attended by an array of stars from the film industry, eminent directors, notable producers, top-notch technicians. With international standards, grandiose sets and with live performances of the celebrities on stage, VIJAY AWARDS was hung on 16 June, 2012, at Nehru Indoor Stadium Chennai.

Of the 143 films released in 2011, winners from 34 different categories were announced within the evening’s awards ceremony. The Vijay Rasigan Express publicity bus traversed around the state and picked up votes from the general public for his or her favorite stars. The favourite category award was chosen at the basis of the votes collected from the public.

Dr, Padmashri Kamal Hassan’s ‘Viswaroobam’ trailer was launched within the event. For the primary time ever within the history of Vijay Awards top hero Dhanush took the centre stage and gave a shocking performance Live. Actors Shriya Saran, Anjali, Vedika and so forth gave their scintillating performances through the award ceremony. The show was hosted by promising upcoming hero Sivakarthikeyan who's known for his quick wit & humor along side Neeya Naana fame Gopinath. This year the production values, technical expertise, lighting tricks were much on a grander scale within the Vijay Awards. The celebrated Vijay Awards Jury members were constructed from Director K.S. Ravikumar, actor Yugi Sethu, Nadhiya, Lizzy Priyadarshan and Cinematographer Rathinavel.

Best ACTOR of the year 2011 was given to VIKRAM for the film ‘Deivathirumagal’. Best actor – female’ award was given to ANJALI for the film ‘Engeyum Eppodum’. Best DIRECTOR award was given to VETRIMARAN’ for the film ‘Aadukalam’ and the most productive film awarded was ‘ENGEYUM EPPODUM’. Best MUSIC DIRECTOR Award was given to G.V. Prakash for the film ‘Aadukalam’.

Best Supporting Actor Male was given to SARATHKUMAR for ‘Kanchana’ and Best Supporting Actor Female was given to UMA RIAZ for ‘Mounaguru’. Best COMEDIAN award was given to SANTHANAM and KOVAI SARALA for the flicks ‘SIRUTHAI’ ‘DEIVATHIRUMAGAL’ and ‘KANCHANA’ respectively.

Best CINEMATOGRAPHER award was given to P.S. Vinodh. KISHORE won the most efficient EDITOR award for the film ‘Engeyum Eppodum’. Best STUNT Director Award was given to Dilip for the film ‘Aaranyakandam’.

Best ART DIRECTOR award was given to Seenu for the film ‘Vaagai Soodava’. Best Debut actor female award was given to RICHA GANGOPADHYAY for the film ‘Mayakkam Enna’. Best Debut Actor male was given to NANI ‘Veppam’.

Best screenplay was given to Thiagaraja Kumararaja, Best dialogue write award was given to Samudrakani for ‘Porali’ Best LYRICIST Award was given to VAIRAMUTHU for the film ‘Vaagai Soodava’’.

I never miffed with Hotel staffs in London, says Lakshmi Ray

Lakshmi Ray, the new and happening diva of Kollywood is in media highlight recently, but for a wrong reason!

Recently a piece of media reports that the busy actress was miffed with a five star hotel staffs at London during Vijay directed Vikram’s Thaandavam shoot.

When the actress stumbled on the reports she peeved and desired to give a clarification at the incident.

Says Lakshmi Rai, “First of all, I WANT to thank the media for having close eyes on me! But they ought to give the appropriate thing with authenticity. The report on my stay in London Hotel was completely false and baseless one. Actually, I USED TO BE gone to test within the hotel at London that day. But there, I DISCOVERED that the room allotted for me was already occupied by some one. Then I USED TO BE waiting there for a very long time and got a room in another hotel. In fact, I left the hotel calmly, even with none quarrel.”

Remember, some few weeks ago, the actress was within the news for flew down Chennai in a charter flight. Later, her PR gave a proof and prove that report was a faux one.

Ganesh to star opposite shriya in ‘Chandra’

Ganesh Venkatraman is one actor whose career appears to be ascending steadily. Having already acted alongside top heroines of the industry like Trisha (Abhiyum Naanum/Aakasamantha) and Anushka (Damarukkam), the actor has now been signed directly to play opposite Shriya for a Tamil-Kannada bilingual titled ‘Chandra’. Interestingly this may occasionally even be Ganesh’s Kannada debut.The movie deals with the lifetime of a final generation princess (essayed by Shriya) and the affection story has two heroes. Popular Kannada actor Prem is likely one of the heroes.

About selecting Ganesh, award-winning filmmaker Roopa Iyer says, “I wanted someone who was tall and handsome and in addition a powerhouse of an actor, for that specific US-based character, who would even be Shriya’s pair. Ganesh fitted the role to a T — exactly what I had conceived in my mind.”

The film could be shot in America as well, as a part of the tale unfolds there.

Ganesh is equally thrilled about his new avatar! The previous Gladrags Mr. India have been chosen to be the face of ‘Coimbatore Fashion Week’, the primary ever high-profile fashion event within the cotton city.

Ganesh said, “I am really eager about Chandra! When Roopa narrated the script, it was fascinating and that i immediately gave my nod.”

Ganesh’s upcoming releases are Pani Thuli (tamil) in July and Damarukkam(Telugu) with Anushka & Nagarjun in August.

Thaandavamcompletes 60 days shoot in London

UTV’s ‘Thaandavam’completes 60 days shoot in London

London, June 13th, 2012: UTV’s next Tamil release Thaandavam has completed a two (2) month long, extensive shooting schedule in London. The film written and directed by Vijay of ‘Madrasapattinam’ and ‘Deivathirumagal’ fame stars ‘Chiyaan’ Vikram, Anushka Shetty, Jagapathi Babu, British Actress Amy Jackson, Lakshmi Rai, Nasser, Santhanam amongst others.

The film crew started its shooting in and around London within the first week of April, and shot some breathtaking scenes in various locations in UK and can be leaving for India on 15th June.

“We are very excited the way in which the film has turned out to this point. We braved the London weather and uninterrupted rain to finish the shoot on time and now we're ready to complete the remainder scenes in India with all the cast ” says G. Dhananjayan, Chief – South Business, Studios, Disney UTV.

The post production of the film will begin once the unit returns to India and the music launch is scheduled for August. The film is slated to hit theatres worldwide in September.

The film was shot in Delhi and Chennai for four weeks before shifting to London for this extensive schedule. Durai Dhayanidi’s Cloud Nine Movies earlier produced Super hit films like Mankatha, thoonganagaram and distributed Thamizh Padam is currently producing a movie with Arulnidhi and Poorna playing the leads.

The film isn't titled yet. The untitled film started shooting in chennai today. As opposed to the leads Pavan, Murugadoss and Tarun plays important roles within the film.
