Director Aabavaanan who stunned Tamil cinema audience by his thriller – black buster Oomai Vizhigal. By following his Guru’s food steps debutant director Kamal is directing the film Marumugam as a love thriller. Marumugam is being produced by Sanjay under his banner Entertainment Unlimited. Daniel Balaji, Anoop and Mumbai model Ranya are doing the lead roles in Marumugam.
First schedule of Marumugam have been completed in Kodaikanal and Chennai. Daniel Balaji has done a Psycho character. Daniel Balaji ‘s chase of Ranya on this movie could be a visible treat and provides thrilling experience to the audience. Marumugam will definitely be a jewel on his crown for Daniel Balaji. “Tamil audience will enjoy his another dimension of acting , we will simply say as his “Marumugam” (another face) on this movie” says director Kamal.
Hero of this movie Anoop has already done three movies in his credit. He has done second hero roles in Aarya starred Vattaram and Chikku Pukku, and has done the primary lead role in Kathi Kappal which was produced by his father V Bhaktha. Anoop is a graduate from DG Vaishnava college and went to Swinger dance school for 8 years. Master Jayanthi’s vigorous training helped Anoop to enhance his skills in dance. He's passionate on cinema right from his childhood since he born and acquired up in cinema environment. Yes, his father V Bhaktha has worked as an associate director for few Telugu movies.
When asked about his innocent character in all 3 films earlier Annop replied,” I m a great deal curious about doing all roles including action. However the characters of my previous films impressed me so much so I ve done it. In Marumugam I ve done a lover boy character with a view to be completely different from my earlier films” . Though Anoop is doing a lover boy in Marumugam he has acted in very risky shots in addition. Anoop needed to run down towards heroine Ranya from the highest of a slippery rock surrounded by deep valley within the height of 2000 fts. There is not any any hold or stop if he'll slip down from the damaging rock. But, Anoop has done daringly and the overall unit appreciated him after the shot.
“Daniel Balaji and Anoop had differences of opinion while shooting they compete one another to the core. But after shooting they are going to be very close friends” says producer Sanjay.
Talking about heroine Ranya producer Sanjay said, “ Ranya is originally a model from Mumbai. She settled down in Chennai for debuting in Tamil film and learned Tamil besides. Ranya prepared well for her career as an actress and paid off with a challenging role in Marumugam. She is performing so well and can surely steal the hearts of the Tamil audience”
Another film institute student Kanagaraj is doing cinematography of Marumugam. He has also worked in Malasiyan Tamil movie 12 Hours. Director Kamal only the author for the movie. 12 Hours won the most productive film award in Malasiya throughout the period.
Very famous music director in Telugu film industry Agasthiya has composed for a Tamil film for the primary time through Marumugam. Lyricist Eaknath has written all songs for Marumugam. Yasin and Manju from Bangloru are the choreographers on this movie. Experienced stunt director Prakash has designed very unique stunt sequences for Marumugam.
Banu Chandar and Uma Padmanaban are playing essential roles in Marumugam.
