Ganesh to star opposite shriya in ‘Chandra’
Ganesh Venkatraman is one actor whose career appears to be ascending steadily. Having already acted alongside top heroines of the industry like Trisha (Abhiyum Naanum/Aakasamantha) and Anushka (Damarukkam), the actor has now been signed directly to play opposite Shriya for a Tamil-Kannada bilingual titled ‘Chandra’. Interestingly this may occasionally even be Ganesh’s Kannada debut.The movie deals with the lifetime of a final generation princess (essayed by Shriya) and the affection story has two heroes. Popular Kannada actor Prem is likely one of the heroes.
Ganesh, who plays a captivating and suave US-based NRI, is another hero. About selecting Ganesh, award-winning filmmaker Roopa Iyer says, “I wanted someone who was tall and handsome and in addition a powerhouse of an actor, for that specific US-based character, who would even be Shriya’s pair. Ganesh fitted the role to a T — exactly what I had conceived in my mind.”
The film could be shot in America as well, as a part of the tale unfolds there.
Ganesh is equally thrilled about his new avatar! The previous Gladrags Mr. India have been chosen to be the face of ‘Coimbatore Fashion Week’, the primary ever high-profile fashion event within the cotton city.
Ganesh said, “I am really eager about Chandra! When Roopa narrated the script, it was fascinating and that i immediately gave my nod.”
Ganesh’s upcoming releases are Pani Thuli (tamil) in July and Damarukkam(Telugu) with Anushka & Nagarjun in August.
