Endemol India,the largest production house in India, and known for makingshows on Indian television like Bigg Boss and Fear Factor recentlyannounced their foray in Film Production Business in south with the remakeof a successful bollywood film “Kahaani” in Tamil & Telugu language.
Endemol India has now joined hands with the reputed Tamil production house Nemichand Jhabhak Productions, for his or her maiden venture in Tamil and Telugu.
V Hitesh Jhabak of Nemichand Jhabak Productions known for hit films like Nan Avan Illai, Mysskin’s Anjathae, Pandi and Dhanush’s Mappillai says “Endemol is understood to supply quality entertainment and feature created a reputation in Tamil & Telugu television with shows like Deala No Deala, Kaiyyil Oru Kodi -Are you prepared? They have got now announced their plans to venture into film production in south for the primary time and feature appropriately chosen to do the remake of much acclaimed Hindi blockbuster Kahaani.We are more than pleased to be associated as Co-Producer with a brand like Endemol and their number of the film Kahaani. Considering the stiff competition Endemol had from prominent local producers to procure the rights, we all know this will likely be a winner on the box office and we've got full faith within the product and hence are investing within the film”
Elaborating further in this venture, CEO-Endemol India Deepak Dhar said“Kahaani is our first venture in south and we would have liked an area player, whounderstands our mindset and the film business in south but on the sametime has a reputable production bandwidth, who could partner with us. Weare happy that we found these in our Co-production partner V HiteshJhabak and we are hoping to take this association further for our futurebusiness in film production”
Kahaani starring Vidtya Balan, is a thriller Directed and co-written bySujoy Ghosh. Balan portrayed the role of Vidya Bagchi, a pregnant woman insearch of her missing husband within the city of Kolkata. The movie won ravereviews and picked up huge revenue on the box office crossing over Rs 100crore.
For the south remake, talks are on with top talents and formal announcement is anticipated soon.
