UTV’s ‘Thaandavam’completes 60 days shoot in London
London, June 13th, 2012: UTV’s next Tamil release Thaandavam has completed a two (2) month long, extensive shooting schedule in London. The film written and directed by Vijay of ‘Madrasapattinam’ and ‘Deivathirumagal’ fame stars ‘Chiyaan’ Vikram, Anushka Shetty, Jagapathi Babu, British Actress Amy Jackson, Lakshmi Rai, Nasser, Santhanam amongst others.
The film crew started its shooting in and around London within the first week of April, and shot some breathtaking scenes in various locations in UK and can be leaving for India on 15th June.
“We are very excited the way in which the film has turned out to this point. We braved the London weather and uninterrupted rain to finish the shoot on time and now we're ready to complete the remainder scenes in India with all the cast ” says G. Dhananjayan, Chief – South Business, Studios, Disney UTV.
The post production of the film will begin once the unit returns to India and the music launch is scheduled for August. The film is slated to hit theatres worldwide in September.

The film was shot in Delhi and Chennai for four weeks before shifting to London for this extensive schedule. It was shot in hottest locations of London and the encompassing areas capturing the natural beauty and heritage of this magnificent country. The solid and crew received excellent support from the local authorities of London, which has helped completing the film as planned.
The film’s Cinematography is by Nirav Shah, Music by G.V. Prakash Kumar (A.R. Rahman’s nephew), Lyrics by Na. Muthukumar, Art Direction by Nagu and Editing by Anthony. The film is 25th musical from G.V. Prakash Kumar, who's one of the crucial top music composers of South India today and for Thaandavam he has recorded five (5) memorable melody numbers.
